چکیده
Abstract Rail transportation planning is a continuous, multi-phase, functioning scale that based on reconstructing the spatial system, thus contributing to build more quality-focused, long-term-oriented and balanced approach. This paper presents cartographic modelling multi-criteria analysis (CMCA) for optimum route/station location in accordance with selected criteria constraints rail transit system planning. The methodology overlay (cartographic modelling) combine diverse maps analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method weighting. purpose of study examine GIS multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) framework by considering Stream, Geology, Slope, Land use Population decision criteria. conceives an additional prominent approach co-producing public, especially underserved areas low socio-economic status public user expectations railway transport process. model applied candidate metro line referred as M 18 (Başakşehir-Esenyurt-Beylikdüzü) eight stations preliminary stage evaluation. outcomes this research will close gap establishing novel suitability which can be used transforming developing urban networks.

Rail Transit Operations Analysis: Framework and Applications
This thesis investigates strategies to improve service quality performance on a rail rapid transit line. Using data sources now commonly available, such as databases in Automatic Transit Supervision systems, an approach is suggested that uses available data and continuing input from agency personnel. The approach aims to draw out local operational and institutional conditions affecting service ...
متن کاملMulti-criteria diagnosis of control knowledge for cartographic generalisation
The development of interactive map websites increases the need of efficient automatic cartographic generalisation. The generalisation process, which aims at decreasing the level of details of geographic data in order to produce a map at a given scale, is extremely complex. A classical method for automating the generalisation process consists in using a heuristic tree-search strategy. This type ...
متن کاملModelling Pedestrian Circulation in Rail Transit Stations Using Micro-Simulation
Rail transit with its high passenger capacity and high efficiency has become one of the preferred alternatives to automobile travel. This is evident in the increasing patronage of rail travel especially in urban areas. As a result, many railway stations experience high levels of pedestrian congestion especially during the morning and afternoon peak periods. Traditional design and evaluation pro...
متن کاملLand Suitability Evaluation for Alfalfa and Barley Based on FAO and Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Approaches in Iranian Arid Region
The present research aims to apply several approaches for suitability evaluation of lands under cultivation ofalfalfa and barley in Chaharmil mechanized farming center, Ardestan town, Isfahan province, Iran. Climatic andsoil maps of the climate and soil data were provided in raster format. Land evaluation carried out using maximumlimitation, parametric and multi-criteria (Analytical Hierarchy P...
متن کاملEvaluating Rail Transit Criticism
This report evaluates criticism of rail transit systems. It examines claims that rail transit is ineffective at increasing public transit ridership and improving transportation system performance, that rail transit investments are not cost effective, and that transit is an outdated form of transportation. It finds that critics often misrepresent issues and use biased and inaccurate analysis. Th...
